Well is was just the two of us now – we just sat around depressed and with nothing to do.

NOT. Thankfully, Marsha tolerates me pretty well and we have a good time together. We love exploring back roads – found the second bridge in Ronan (where you get out if floating down the river). The Flathead River is so beautiful – and right now very high and moving fast. We haven’t seen anyone floating in it yet, but seems like it would be hard to get to the shore when you needed too. We took some gnarly roads and ended up with a flat -seems a rock went right through the tire. But the leak was slow enough we made it back and got it fixed the next day.

Our new neighbors

We had a pair of owls hanging out in the trees right in front of our RV. What amazing creatures. We have tons of birds around us but these guys are the best. They just sit in the high branches scoping out the field next to us. Occasionally I’ll see one of them swoop down but have not seen them catch anything yet.

Near our Lot

We even saw an owl on the ground near our lot. At first we thought it might be hurt, but he took off and and we continued to see him flying over the fields. We go up to the lot almost daily – the view still moves us each time.

We spent much of this time with plans, the builder and architect. We are trying to get the plans finalized so the builder can actually give us a number of what this will cost. We are hoping we can get this within our budget as we can get real excited. It was nice to be able to actually meet with the builder – he gave us some great ideas and suggestions. We have meet our (future?) neighbors and have really hit it off with them. Doc and Donna bought an existing house on the street, and seem to love the area. Doc and I have so many similarities – both lived in the South Bay area, both were in Vietnam at the same time, and both went into Nursing after the service. I look forward to getting to know them better.

Didn’t take a lot of pictures this week, but the time flew by. We are enjoying being here tremendously!
