From Show Low to here was over some mountains – gave our transmission and breaks a good workout. We thought we’d head back to California after the Balloon Festival, but none of us really want to get home. So we decided to spend a few days here in Prescott, then go home from here. Bill has some medical stuff to do, I need to address some work things, so do need to get back. But it’s been nice hanging here. The campground is tight – close to neighbors but at least there are some trees between the rigs.

We like the Prescott area. Marsha had to catch up on some work, but we still managed to explore the area. The town has a nice Plaza with courthouse, surrounded by shops, restaurants, and bars. The street is called Whisky Row because at one time (1900) there were 40 bars in one block. Cool area to walk around in, or to sit on a man bench while the girls shopped.

As it gets closer to heading back to Calif, we all have mixed feelings. Although all of us have things we need to get done, all of us have had such a great time we don’t want it to end. So I am trying to convince myself we’re heading back just to get ready for the next trip.
