Once we left Boise, we went north to McCall, ID. Again our GPS took us a long way, but probably better for the RV. We were here only for 1 night, so they moved us into probably the best site of the campground. We were on a bluff over looking the North Fork Payette River. Up in the mountains so a bit cooler. A beautiful campground.

It was a great campground and campsite. We drove into town (right on the Lake) and found it to be very busy. Of course it was a gorgeous Saturday and everyone seem to have a boat. All very clean and quaint. We liked it so much we booked a return trip for October, but honestly we have no idea what our plans will be then, but we can cancel without penalty. One thing we won’t do is go back to the same Mexican restaurant – we both got bad heart burn, probably from the Margarita we shared.

We’ve learned we do not like rushing these days, so spending only 1 night in a place is not our ideal especially such a nice place. The rule of 2-2-2 is our minimum (2 night per site, off the road by 2 PM, and 2 hours of driving). Of course it very seldom works this way, but slowing it down is great.
As sad as it was to only spend 1 night here, we were heading back to Polson where my brother Dave and his wife Vivian we going to join us, so Yea! The drive back was a bit long (again, so much for the 2-2-2 rule), but went through some absolutely gorgeous country. I’ve heard some say Highway 12 in Idaho is one of the most scenic drives there is.
