Rick & Jill left Catalina a day before us, but were headed to Show Low. We had reservations there so again we got a few more days with them. Can you tell I like being around my brother and Jill? Good peeps.
After leaving Tucson, we drove through Salt River Canyon. A very beautiful canyon with a river flowing through it. There was a visitor center at the bottom that we stopped at for the view. While we were admiring the view a man driving the Blue Bell ice cream walked by us and gave us two ice cream sandwiches to welcome us to Arizona. We were thankful for his kind gesture….. and the ice cream was yummy!

Fools Hollow Lake is in the Show Low area. Marsha and I did a Harvest Host last year with Bill & Debbie at a Golf Course. But staying by the Lake for 5 days was nice.

Again, everything was shut down and there was hardly anyone at the campground. Very quiet – another good place to isolate.

Rick & Jill took off a couple of days before us. Campgrounds in Utah were closing daily, and they wanted to go while they could. But despite good intentions, the campground they were going to stop at closed on the day they were to arrive, so they had a very long drive into Colorado. Marsha and I have become spoiled – driving more than 3 hours seems like too long now.
Weather was still cold. Had a couple of days with snow flurries, but with our rig we were able to stay nice and toasty.

We finished our stay at Fools Hollow Lake and continued to head north – next stop Page, Az
