Now this was basically a new area for us. Although we have driven to it on a previous trip, we had never stayed here or explore the area. BUT with the Moccasin Springs Natural Mineral Spa in town, do you really need to go explore?
The spa consisted of three pools of varying temperatures, a café, and of course the spa. After all our travels, we enjoyed massages and facial for Marsha. Soaking in these natural springs was so nice – Marsha started looking at Real Estate so we might be close by. But a few days here was enough for now.
We stayed at a campground just outside of town, but was real quiet and private. Had their own lake you could paddle on. We would definitely come back to this area.
The town of Hot Springs is pretty cool. Mostly old buildings and they seem to be sprucing them up. Lot of history here. I found some great coffee here, and of course a good ice cream store.
