Our 4 day stay in Heber City was a “get caught up time”. We had driven through Heber City two times before just passing through, and I thought this might be a good place to meet up with our traveling buddies, Bill & Debbie. They also had friends in the Provo area they wanted to see. Having been on the road for about 3 weeks now, Marsha and I needed some maintenance. We picked up some medications, dropped off some dry cleaning, I got a haircut (Maggie I missed you!), we both got our nails done, and Marsha got a facial. You know, all the important stuff.
Heber City is a very nice place – they too had had lots of snow and rain so everything was very green. Our campground was indeed a resort – cement pads to park on, patio areas, grass between coaches and tons of amenities. A very nice place to stay a few days to get caught up.
Of course we also did some exploring. Drove up to Park City (about 30 min north). A typical expensive ski resort town (made even more popular since the Olympics were there). A short drive east took up up into the hills with gorgeous homes – we ran into 2 sheep herds hanging out on the road. They didn’t appreciate us and verbally let us know. Lots of lakes in the area. Very pretty.
Four days went by quick and then it was time to head out with our friends and start our travels together.
