It was a freeway blast from St. George to Heber City. We once again stayed at Mountain Valley RV Resort – a very nice area, paved roads and concrete pads. First night we had some snow – glad we had disconnected our water hoses.

We arrived Thursday, and spent Friday regrouping. Cleaning, restocking, laundry etc – you know, stuff that needs to be done. We actually enjoy a day just hanging out.
Saturday we took off in the car first thing. Well, first thing for us seems to be around 2 PM these days. We tend to stay in bed in the mornings (cozy & warm). Then coffee, breakfast, cleanup – takes time when your moving slow. But we love exploring new locations and seeing what’s what. We drove through Provo Canyon, looked at the 10 million dollar homes, walked a bit, buy it was still windy and cold so being in the car worked for us.

Sunday, after a zoom service at our home Church, the day turned beautiful and warmed up. So it was time for a bike ride. We went back to Provo Canyon and rode a great paved trail. With the warmer weather everyone was out, and I certainly understand why. Beautiful river, paved trail going through the canyon. Couldn’t ask for much more. There was a couple of small patches of ice in the shadows. And guess who can’t ride a bike on ice? Yeah, me. Took a fall and broke my little finger. Not bad, but enough to be in a splint for 4 to 6 weeks.

After a beautiful drive through Provo Canyon, we ended up in the charming town of Midway. All the buildings look like the belong in the Swiss Alps (or at least what we imagine the Alps would look like). We stopped for dinner at an Italian place that had these cool structures in their courtyard. Inially placed for Covid, they now offer a warm place to dine in the winter as each unit has it’s own heat source. Caught our eye drive in and glad we stopped – food was good too.

Monday was another rest day. Started getting colder again (14 degrees at night). Forgot to unhook my hoses and woke up to frozen hoses. Thank goodness we had our water tank filled, so we had water for showers, etc. After resting a bit, we took off for a late afternoon drive. Ended up in Park City. The locals say the billionaires have moved into town, so the poor millionaires have had to move to the Heber City area (how often do you hear about that in places now?)
Tuesday was a travel day, so we cleaned up and took off once again.
