Now this place we liked!!!!!! Marsha and I had been here before for a quick stop and loved it even more this time. We stayed at the KOA which is connected to the Polson Motorcoach RV Resort. That is a place similar to Rancho where Marsha and I stay at in Calif – people buy their lots and build them out. Of course it’s only a 6 month season in Polson, but that doesn’t seem to stop the people with very expensive rigs from buying and enjoying their lots. But way over my budget, and we were perfectly fine and happy in the KOA. Our sites had some shade trees yet we could see the lake through the trees. We all agreed we could stay a month here.

We were here only for three days and we made the most of it. We drove around the Lake enjoying all the Cherry Orchards. Due to late snowfall the cherries may not be ripe until the first part of August. The Cherry Festival will still take place at the end of July. Sorry that we will miss that. At the other end of the Lake is a place called Big Fork – we have friends that bought a lot and bring their RV up there for the summer. Very nice place with tons of trees. We passed by Wild Horse Island, but couldn’t figure out how to get over to it (need to rent a boat). There are still some wild horses on the island along with many other animals. There are regional playhouses, but again we are here a bit too early for that too. It is a learning process as we travel… We hope to return again to this beautiful area of Montana.

One of the CRNAs that helps me has a 20-acre ranch here in Polson. Her husband was here and invited us over for dinner. Oh my, what a place!! They have an A-frame home with huge windows overlooking pasture land with horses and the lake. Beautiful place – I now know why they like to come up here. They have chickens and gardens. This is Marsha’s dream (if we didn’t want to keep moving).

Since there was a Walmart here, we were able to get some prescriptions taken care of. Traveling has made getting meds a bit of a challenge. We stick with Walmart as they are everywhere and have us on file, but it’s still a hassle and takes two visits too get it done. Still trying to figure out mail order.
