Well Marsha’s biopsy came back with a lesion that can be treated topically, but Ken now had to have a Mohs Surgery to excise his lesion. But he begged for dis-solvable sutures, so we didn’t have to stay for any suture removal.
So, on Saturday May 25 we finally took off for our long awaited RV trip. Of course our typically early morning start time didn’t happen as we wanted to see our friends Mike & Aundrea before we left. So we parked the RV in Walmart, drove the jeep to San Diego for a carb rich Italian lunch, drove back to hook up the Jeep and take off. Oh but wait, all those carbs required a quick nap before we could actually take off. So around 3:30 we FINALLY pulled out!! Yea, we are ON THE ROAD!
Made to the Elks lodge in North Las Vegas. Not the best of areas, but we were safe in a large dirt parking lot with a few other RVs (FHU – full hook ups). Up fairly early, then an easy drive to St. George Elks lodge. What a great place. Only electric hook ups, but for only the one night it was no problem. Friendly people, gorgeous views, very quiet. We could easily have stayed here the week but the next day we moved a very short distance to a KOA campground in Hurricane (just next to St. George).
