Well here we are driveway surfing again. We have some great friends near Eagle, Co that have an absolutely gorgeous home with a long driveway. They allow us to park in their driveway, and even though they did invite us into their home, we stayed in the RV (all my sleep stuff is already set up there). Plus Cody likes us to be near him.

Jim had been dealing with his own medical issues, but seem to be getting stronger. He is an amazing fine carpenter making fantastic pieces of furniture. If we ever do get to build a home in Montana, I’ve already booked his services.
As you may know, our legal address is in South Dakota. Our mail gets forwarded to us as we need it. I used a UPS Mailbox in Eagle as a drop, but it turned into a mess. When I showed up day 1, they were closed (Friday before Labor Day weekend). OK, I get it, no notice but understand. Then I showed up Tuesday and the place was a disaster – only one worker, others out due to Covid. Over 200 packages lying around but the young man did not have to time to sort them, and wouldn’t allow me to look through them. We were leaving the next day and I was expecting some meds I was running out of. I continued to call daily and they “couldn’t get to it yet”. Finally our friends were able to pick them up and mail them to California for us – two weeks later. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Yelp had many bad reviews, so it wasn’t just me.
Diane is a fantastic cook and boy did she feed us well. It seems we stayed at the dining table all the time. Whereas we make tacos, she makes a Mexican meal.
We did go explore a near by lake / camping area. There had been a bad fire though the area a year or so before, but you could tell new growth was sprouting all over.
Their home sits at 6600 feet, so my breathing continued to be affected. Thanks goodness for portable oxygen. I did fine hanging at their home, but any activity and I was huffing and puffing.
Had a great visit with Jim and Diane. Time flies when you are with great friends, so before we knew it it was time to head West.
