From Challis our RV GPS sent us on a route we would have probably not taken, but in reality was probably much better for us. Less windy mountain roads and more easy roads. Maybe less scenic, but we’ll never know will we? All in all a good ride.

One of the main reasons we came to Boise was to see our friends NedFrancis and Melissa Nickerson. We knew them in California and they left a few years ago first to Vancouver, WA, then last year to Boise. They are close to kids and grandkids, so they are loving it. We also had hopes of seeing our retired office manager, Karen Richelieu, as she moved here too. Unfortunately she was out of town seeing her family.

It was great to hang with Ned and Melissa just catching up. They are those types of friends that you just pick up where you left off, no matter how much time as gone by. We didn’t take any pictures (bad Kenny ), but have great memories. they now have some chickens in their back yard, so it was cool to see them.

In the middle to this visit, I flew down to San Diego to see my Dad for his 97th birthday. Originally, my brother Rick and I talked about both of us going down to visit him for an intimate dinner, but awesomely it turned in to a family reunion. My sister even flew in from North Carolina. My dad was totally surprised and thoroughly enjoyed having his whole family together. I tried to cook for everyone, but was very grateful to have Rick there too.

It was a quick trip down (2 nights), but it was also great to get back to Marsha. She stayed in Boise with Cody the camping cat, but we all missed her too.
We got some needed items done here (laundry, etc.) then is was time to head North again. Seemed like a quick trip but good to see friends and my family. Hopefully we can come back soon for another visit.
